Byers Residential is a Texas-based multifamily developer and owner founded by Shea Byers, who brings more than two decades of experience in development, acquisitions and asset management.

The firm has built and acquired a portfolio of more than 1,000 multifamily units across Texas, with a focus on opportunities where disciplined sourcing, thoughtful structuring and strong execution can create durable long-term value.

Our strategy combines build-to-hold development with multifamily acquisitions, supported by deep market relationships, HUD financing experience, public-private partnerships and an established real estate operating platform.

A Rich History of Capital Growth

Byers Residential grew out of the J Street Property Services platform, an established real estate operating business with approximately three decades of history.

As development and acquisition activity expanded, those investment functions were organized under Byers Residential as a focused owner-operator platform. Today, Byers Residential leads deal sourcing, development, acquisitions and capital formation while continuing to draw on J Street's operating expertise and infrastructure.

That relationship brings together the agility and focus of a dedicated investment team with the property management, finance, construction management, human resources and engineering capabilities of an established real estate operator.
